What we cover at Ogilvie Stonecraft Ltd:

Early 2023 we were looking for a stone mason to undertake extensive repairs to the west wall of our Edinburgh tenement. Having been abandoned at the 11th hour by the stone masons first contracted to do this work, we had the great good fortune of finding Ogilvie Stonecraft. Previous poor workmanship had resulted in crumbling sandstone and blown cement rendering. Stewart and his team did a sterling job of repairing the wall. They are skilled stone masons in addition to being friendly and hard working while respecting deadlines and keeping us informed of progress. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Stewart and his team have worked on a couple of fairly big jobs for us: repointing of our front wall and the taking down and rebuilding of a large retaining wall at the back of our property. Stewart is professional , his work is to a very high standard and he is very personable and approachable. Would definitely recommend.

Great company with passionate to leave high standard of work

Patched up some crumbling sandstone around a window - gave us multiple options and advice on how to proceed and did a nice clean repair

Stuart and his team carried out work to our buildings facad to a very high standard. On top of the quality of work they were courteous, professional and generally a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend.

I have just had brickwork replaced by Ogilvie Stonecraft. They have completed the job promptly, efficiently and with no mess. I would confidently recommend this company.

Can’t recommend Ogilvie Stonecraft enough. Stewart and Liam were brilliant to work with. They did an excellent job re-pointing the front of our flat and repairing cracks on our lintels and mullions as well as cleaning up after which was much appreciated. They were both great chat and really lovely to work with. We always knew what time they’d be on site and how long the job would take which was v helpful with a baby in the house. Thank you so much!

Great service from Stewart and team, repairing 1800s stonework with Lithomix. Colour match was excellent and final finish was first class

Stewart has just finished a job in our cellar. As well as his great traditional stone craft skills, he's been a pleasure to work with, responsive, listening, and friendly. We're hoping to have him back to do more for us and would recommend him. Thank you Stewart.

Stewart did a great job at repairing our internal stone step. I struggled to get a tradesperson for a very long time as it was a small job. He was on time and lovely to deal with. Would highly recommend in future.

Excellent service, and first class workmanship. These contractors provided excellent advice, and the quality of the their work is outstanding, they go that extra mile to make the repairs blend in perfectly. I would have no hesitation is using their services again and would highly recommend them to anyone considering stonework repairs.

Stewart did an excellent jobs fixing and painting the masonry work around our windows. Very pleasant to work with an really honest about any concerns that he had about materials. Am delighted with the outcome. Very reasonably priced as well.

Ogilvie's did a great job on the repairs necessary to the stone on this building earlier this year and I wouldn't hesitate to ask them back if I needed more such work done again.

Can’t speak highly enough of Ogilvie Stonecraft - what a great bunch of guys. Ours was not the easiest of jobs - loads of old rough cast and paint to be removed and then the whole house needed lime harling. It was a pleasure to have them working at our home and an absolute top job delivered. If you’re in need of a stone mason look no further!

Stewart and his team did an outstanding job renovating a complete wall of our 10 flat building in Edinburgh. All aspects of the work were excellent from project management to Stonemasonry quality , safety and completing the project on time and budget. They were friendly and dependable throughout . We would thoroughly recommend them and use them for stonemasonry projects in future. Many thanks again. Kevin O’Neill.,

Excellent work sensitively done rebuilding 200-year-old walls destabilised and damaged by tree growth, as well as re-pointing and improving steps using original stone found on site. Mr Ogilvie was a pleasure to deal with, communicated well by email, and proved flexible and accommodating as the work expanded beyond its original spec. Compared with similar work they had supervised recently, our factor described his rates as “fair and reasonable”.

I highly recommend Ogilvie Stonecraft . He arrived on time and he did an amazing job. The wall was left like the original wall, which was exactly as I wanted it. They cleaned up after the job was done.
